Course Description: This course will provide updates on hot topics in critical care, along with pain management, death & dying in the ICU, and a full half-day session on legal issues in nursing. Speaker:
Kendra Menzies Kent MS, RN-BC, CCRN, CNRN, SCRN, TCRN
Kendra
has an extensive and comprehensive knowledge base and is known for her
ability to simplify the complex and maintain audience attention. Kendra
received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Texas
in Arlington in 1985, and her Master’s Degree in Nursing as a Clinical
Nurse Specialist from Texas Women’s University in 1993. Her work
includes critical care education for surgical/trauma, neurosurgical and
thoracic surgery ICUs. She held positions in management and was a
Clinical Nurse Specialist in the SICU at Parkland Memorial Hospital in
Dallas. Kendra was a staff nurse in the Neurosurgical ICU at Harris
Methodist Hospital, Ft. Worth, Texas, and currently lives in Florida
where she is the Nursing Director at Marcus Neuroscience Institute, Boca
Raton Regional Hospital in Boca Raton, Florida.
Kendra has
presented seminars throughout the country for over 15 years, and has
presented numerous times for The Cruise Academy. She is a Fundamental
Critical Care Support Instructor (FCCS) for the Society of Critical Care
Medicine and co-owner of Quest for Nursing Knowledge.
